Letters to the President

During the past several months, I’ve been corresponding with US President, Donald J. Trump about the importance of including scientific education into his vision and plan to restore the greatness of America. In my comments, I reminded him that our nation’s greatness fundamentally rests on its commitment to laws of nature as referenced in our original founding document, the Declaration of Independence.

In particular, I pointed out that this commitment can only endure over time if it is communicated to children. And since this is precisely the purpose and function of scientific education, as described in the book I wrote on the subject, I urged him to make this distinctive “new education” an integral part of his plan for the nation.

I also pointed out that military strength, though necessary, is only a temporary means of assuring America’s greatness. To achieve an enduring legacy of this greatness, there must be due attention given to the education and care of children. Sadly, the state system of public education is unable to do this on their own. Therefore, presidential leadership is essential for true accountability in this area.

I therefore requested the President’s support for scientific education in several specific ways. One is an “American Charter School” to model scientific education for state and local governments to follow. Another is the Character Teaching (CT) project to apply scientific education with children caught up in conditions of extreme poverty and distress in various regions around the world.

In addition to my letters to the President, I also contacted the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to elicit his support for the CT project, especially in connection with the US role in Venezuela and the surrounding Caribbean region. Copies of my letters and other support information were also sent to a major Latin American Bank, located in Panama, to gain their financial support for this project.

Now, I hope the President will keep in mind the vital need for scientific education to restore the greatness of America and extend this greatness beyond our nation to the whole world as well.
