Function of Scientific Teaching

This issue features a presentation of the function of scientific teaching, which is the basic skill in practice with children that brings about the young child’s true nature. As usual, there is a “Moment of Peril” that analyzes and provides a resolution to a misbehavior scenario, using the unique IMS technology of scientific education.Ā  In this issue, the problem is two children “Splashing like Pigs” in a mud puddle.Ā  How to resolve this by following laws of nature? Also included is an introduction to a new IMS recognized school in New York.

Fear

The May, 2021 issue of the “Montessori Observer” includes my comments on how the feeling of “fear” affects your function with children; and how to resolve this serious obstacle to effective scientific teaching.Ā  In this issue is also a description of the IMS webinar on the “Technology of Scientific Education” and other news that emerges in the challenging covid-19 pandemic times.

Public Education

The March issue of the “Montessori Observer” includes my comments on ‘public education’ as related to Dr. Montessori’s “new education”. Are the two compatible? What did Dr. Montessori think? What is the future path to bring public education into harmony with laws of nature? Is it even possible? Also, learn how to use IMS technology to resolve “impatience and defiance” in the adult-child relationship, and much more.

May, 2019 – Success

The May, 2019 issue features current progress on the IMS project, “Character Teaching“, especially as it may be implement in Central America, such as the country of El Salvador. In addition, there is an update on progress of the IMS network of support that is taking place through Evelyn Onyeka who has been conducting workshops there. The main academic topic concerns “success,” how to measure that and what it means in the work of IMS Montessori teaching.

March, 2019 – Unity

In the March, 2019 issue, the new IMS recognized school in Bangalore, India, FloMont School is featured. In addition, the issue of accountability in education is raised as related to public policy in the state of Maryland. The “moment of peril” analyzes how to use IMS technology to resolve “disinterest in 6-9 children”. The academic theme issue is “Unity,” with particular regard to how a commitment to laws of nature allows that to occur, even in the midst of much division and disharmony of the Montessori community and society at large.
