The latest IMS workshop “Creating the ‘True Natural’ Reality” was held in Danbury, CT on the weekend of August 2-3, 2025. IMS sponsored this workshop as part of its long-standing mission and work of creating Dr. Montessori’s vision of a “true natural” reality of perfect, peace, order, and harmony in the world. Attending were teachers, school owners, and other interested educators from Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.
Led by Lee Havis, IMS founder and director, the workshop especially aimed to demonstrate the use of a unique “technology” of practical skills for creating this “true natural” reality in a reliable, scientific way that was never possible before.
Each workshop participants received Lee’s 400-page book on the subject, entitled “The Technology of Scientific Education”. Lee says this text will provide valuable followup study and guidance in using the technology for scientific teaching with children in their own particular situations with children. About the workshop experience, one workshop participant, Alison Akers, said, “This is the book come alive!”.
This recent Danbury, CT workshop was initiated by a local IMS teacher, Robbyn German, who organized support for this unique learning experience among interested educators in the nearby area. IMS will offer other such workshops elsewhere there is similar initiative and interest in the local area. For further information, contact: Lee Havis, IMS, havis@imsmontessori.org, Tel. 240-481-1566.
