The Imagination-Previsioning (IP) technique is quiet, focused meditation on a problem situation with children that you do by yourself away from the children. This IP technique aims especially to resolve some difficult or problematic misbehavior or disorder with children that you can’t resolve in the moment it is actually happening. Using this technique, you are quiet and alone, away from the children.
In this state, imagine the problem situation in great detail, your feelings, thoughts, and outward facts, to make it as real as possible in your mind. Notice especially what you think may be the mistake you were making, and how you might correct that when the situation comes up again. Then, pre-vision yourself acting in that new, corrected manner when the problem emerges again in the real-life situation. Later, try out the pre-visioned solution for real to see how that works to actually resolve the problem. After that, if the problem persists, simply repeat IP as often as necessary until the you finally resolve the problem.
