The IMS technology includes a set of ten specific techniques to use in Montessori teaching — a set of specific actions to take in sequential order from one moment to the next to control the environment. Using the techniques in an experimental manner, guided by pertinent protocols, has the effect of bringing about and supporting the child’s true natural development. The ten techniques are listed here from light to heavy, the lighter ones being generally more favorable and frequently employed.
